It takes about an hour to drive to the vast wilderness of Sequoia National Park, one of the country’s top attractions. The park stretches over a million acres where ancient giant sequoias tower over the breathtaking landscape. Take the kids down the Main Trail to see the world’s largest tree, the famous General Sherman, which stands 275 feet tall, and is over 36 feet in diameter at the base.
