2021 Buick Encore

The 2021 Buick Encore is available in two trim packages, the base Encore and the Preferred. All trims include 18-inch wheels, a roof-mounted antenna, an acoustic laminated windshield, deep-tinted glass, heated exterior mirrors, an LED center high-mounted stoplight, and a rear wiper. A power moon roof, rain-sensing wipers, and roof rails are also available. The base Encore is available in Summit White only. The Preferred trim is available in an array of modern paint colors, including Ebony Twilight Metallic, Summit White, Quicksilver Metallic, White Frost Tricoat, Dark Moon Blue Metallic, and Cinnabar Metallic.

The Encore lineup is powered by a 138 horsepower, 1.4-liter turbo I-4 engine that produces 177 pound-feet of torque. The standard six-speed automatic transmission includes a manual shifting mode. Both trims are offered with front-wheel drive. The Encore Preferred is also available with all-wheel drive.

Every Encore includes stability control, traction control, and cruise control. The MacPherson strut coil spring front suspension, stabilizer bars, and torsion beam rear suspension provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Front-wheel-drive models have an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive Preferred models boast a fuel economy rating of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The interior of every Encore model is comfortable and well-appointed. Standard infotainment features include a six-speaker audio system, a seven-inch touch-screen display, USB ports, Bluetooth streaming audio, voice recognition, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Siri Eyes Free, and satellite radio. Controls for the audio, cruise, phone, and driver information center are placed conveniently on the steering wheel. Cloth upholstery with leatherette trim is standard on all models. The power six-way adjustable driver's seat fits every driver perfectly. Every model also includes power windows, power locks, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Buick's QuietTuning technologies reduce engine and road noise to create a quiet cabin that's free of distraction. QuietTuning features include acoustic laminated front glass, triple door seals, thicker flooring, and acoustic insulation. The rear seat is a 60/40 split-folding rear bench. With all seats occupied, the Encore provides 18.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Cargo space increases to a maximum of 48.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat. The front passenger seat folds flat to allow the transport of long cargo.

All models include a suite of 10 advanced air bags, rear child safety locks, LATCH in the second row, and keyless open. Every trim has OnStar services, including automatic crash response, emergency services, roadside assistance, crisis assist, stolen vehicle assistance, and turn-by-turn navigation. OnStar services are quickly and easily accessible with the OnStar Guardian app. Available driver-assist features include forward collision alert, front park assist, rear park assist, lane departure warning, blind-zone monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
