2021 Chevrolet Trax

The 2021 Chevy Trax features quirky styling with a dynamic front end, an athletic profile, and a cheeky rear that give it a unique road presence. You can choose between the LS and LT trim levels, each with a distinctive personality. Exterior features of the LS trim include automatic headlights, signature daytime running lights, an acoustic laminated windshield, solar absorbing glass, 16-inch aluminum wheels, color-keyed door handles and power mirrors, and stylish sculpted taillights. LT models add LED daytime running lights, projector-beam headlights, heated power mirrors, deep-tinted rear glass, roof-mounted side rails, and LED taillights. To make even more of a statement, you can opt for the LT with the Midnight Edition or Sport Edition appearance package. Each has unique badging and includes 18-inch gloss black wheels, black front and rear skid plates, and black moldings and bowtie emblems.

Powering the Trax is a punchy turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder EcoTec engine. It delivers 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels or the available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system via an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission.

With its agile handling and sporty performance, the Trax makes light work of negotiating the city streets, while its compact size, short front and rear overhangs, and rearview camera will help you get into the tightest parking spots. Front-wheel-drive models will reward you with up to 26 mpg around town and 31 mpg on the highway. With AWD, you'll get up to 24 and 29 mpg.

In the Trax's roomy, contemporary cabin, you can seat five people in comfort and stow 18.7 cubic feet of gear. With eight different seating configurations, it's easy to make the most of your space. Folding the rear seats flat gives you a generous 48.4-cubic-foot cargo area with clever underfloor storage for smaller items. The front passenger seatback folds flat, enabling you to carry items up to 8-feet long. Going with the LS trim gets you remote keyless entry, fabric seating, front bucket seats, air conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, a 3.5-inch driver information display, and a 12-volt power outlet. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system features a 7-inch touch-screen display, a 4G Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, voice recognition, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and six-speaker audio with satellite radio. You also get Chevrolet Connected Access capability. Stepping up to the LT gets you remote start, cloth and leatherette upholstery, front passenger underseat storage, cruise control, a cargo shelf, and a 120-volt power outlet. Optional for the LT is a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-bound steering wheel.

The Trax's standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, and a rearview camera. An available Driver Confidence Package for the LT adds side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
