2021 GMC Acadia
If you're looking for a luxurious three-row SUV that stands out from the crowd, take a close look at the 2021 GMC Acadia. It offers a composed and refined ride, along with a roomy, flexible cabin. With a choice of five trim levels and three engines, you can tailor your Acadia to suit your style.
Trim Levels
The 2021 GMC Acadia features a bold front end, distinctive C-shaped lighting, and an athletic profile that sets it apart from other midsize SUVs. You can choose from SL, SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali trim levels. The SL trim offers LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and heated power mirrors with turn signals.
SLE models add 18-inch wheels, while stepping up to the SLT gets you LED fog lights, a programmable hands-free power tailgate, and roof rails. The AT4 has unique off-road styling, along with 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. The top-of-the-range Denali stands out with its model-specific grille, satin chrome-trimmed door handles, bright 20-inch wheels, and auto-dimming power-folding mirrors.
Engine
Powering the SL and SLE is a smooth 193-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 188 pound-feet of torque. Under the SLT's hood is a punchy 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivering 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Standard for the AT4 and Denali and available for the SLE and SLT is a potent 310 horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 271 pound-feet of torque. All models come standard with an electronic precision shift nine-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The AT4 features a standard all-wheel-drive system that is optional on all but the base SL model. When equipped with the V-6 engine and the available Trailering Package, the Acadia can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
Interior
In the Acadia's well-appointed cabin, you can seat up to seven passengers along with ample luggage. The versatile seating can be configured in many ways to make the most of your passenger and cargo space. Folding the second- and third-row seats flat gives you a 79-cubic-foot cargo area.
SL models feature keyless entry and start, fabric seating, a second-row bench, three-zone automatic temperature control, cruise control, and a tilting and telescoping steering column. With the GMC infotainment system, you get an 8-inch touch-screen display, voice-activated smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio.
Go with the SLE for second-row captain's chairs, while the SLT gives you remote start, perforated leather seating, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, navigation, a 120-volt power outlet, and a Bose eight-speaker audio system with HD radio. The AT4 matches its rugged exterior with exclusive interior seating and styling cues. The Denali offers driver memory functions, cooled front seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, heated second-row seats, an automatically heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a power tilting and telescoping steering column, and wireless charging.
Safety Features
The Acadia comes standard with lane change alert, side blind-zone alert, rear park assist, and rear cross-traffic warning. With the SLT trim and up, you get lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and front pedestrian braking.
