2021 GMC Sierra 2500

The 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 is available in five trim packages, including the base Sierra, SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. All models feature LED exterior lights and daytime running lights. The Sierra is available with three cab configurations, regular (one set of doors), crew (two sets of doors), and double (one regular and one short set of doors). Except for the base Sierra, all models include GMC's MultiPro tailgate. With its six-function design, including a built-in load stop and step, this tailgate makes it easier than ever to load and unload the truck bed. The bed also includes cargo-tie downs and hitch-area lighting. The CornerStep rear bumper allows easy access to the bed as well. The Denali is available in a special Black Diamond Edition. This package includes a sunroof, power-retractable assist steps, a KICKER MultiPro audio system, premium liners and carpet inserts, 20-inch black gloss wheels, and Ebony Twilight Metallic paint.

The standard engine across the Sierra 2500 lineup is a 401 horsepower, 6.6-liter V-8 that produces 464 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A 445 horsepower, 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 that produces a whopping 910 pound-feet of torque is also available on all trims. This powerful turbo-diesel is paired with an Allison ten-speed automatic transmission. The AT4 is only available with four-wheel drive. The Sierra, SLE, SLT, and Denali are rear-wheel drive with available four-wheel drive.

Properly equipped, the 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 can tow a maximum of 14,500 pounds. Except for the base Sierra and SLE models, all trims include GMC's ProGrade Trailering System. This system makes hitching and driving with your trailer easier and safer than ever, with automatic safety checks, brake adjustments, and multiple camera views. All models include stability control, traction control, tow/haul mode, and automatic grade braking. The AT4 and Denali are equipped with off-road suspension systems to provide a comfortable ride, no matter where the road takes you.

The SLT, AT4, and Denali trims feature an HD radio, Bluetooth streaming audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, voice recognition, USB ports, hands-free phone, satellite radio, and a touch-screen display. The Denali also includes navigation and a Bose seven-speaker premium audio system. The front seat of the base Sierra, SLE, and SLT is a 40/20/40 split-bench. The AT4 and Denali feature bucket seats in the front row. In models with a double cab, the rear seat is a 60/40 split-folding bench. Upholstery options include cloth, premium vinyl, and leather. The AT4 and Denali feature heated and ventilated front seats.

Every Sierra 2500 trim has a suite of six advanced airbags, GMC's Teen Driver system, and a rearview camera. The top-of-the-line Denali has many standard driver-assist features, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking assist, an HD surround vision camera, lane change alert, side blind zone monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a safety alert seat.
