2023 Chevrolet Tahoe
If you're in the market for a new SUV, you'll have plenty of models to choose from. In addition to their inviting interiors, some of the latest models also sport more technology than you might think, but the Tahoe still tends to stand out among the rest. Check out the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and see if it offers everything you want in your next vehicle.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Tahoe comes in six different trim levels, with each having its own set of exterior features to consider. The LS trim is the base-level option, and it comes with assist steps, LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and 17-inch wheels. Moving up to the LT trim adds auto-dimming heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals as an option.
At the RST trim level, the upgrades focus on style, featuring extra black accents and 22-inch black alloy wheels. Upgrade to the Z71, and the upgrades are more performance-oriented, but you still get a front skid plate, all-terrain tires, and front/rear tow hooks. At the Premier trim level, the Tahoe is outfitted with 20-inch alloy wheels and standard auto-dimming side mirrors, while the High Country boasts 22-inch alloy wheels and available power-retractable running boards.
Engine (Power)
Three engines are available with the Tahoe, and they all pack a hefty punch. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 that produces 355 horsepower with 383 pound-feet of torque, but that's just the start. You can also opt for the 6.2-liter V-8 with a massive 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque at your disposal. The final engine is a diesel-powered design that's a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. With this engine, the Tahoe gets 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The Tahoe's commitment to reliable maneuverability means driving this SUV is easy. Take the two-speed transfer case, for example, which automatically switches the Tahoe to four-wheel drive if the rear-wheel traction is ever compromised, ensuring you always get the best grip possible. Torque can even be distributed to specific wheels, thanks to the electronic limited-slip rear differential.
Interior
The Tahoe's interior is as utilitarian as it is inviting, as there's plenty of room for both passengers and cargo. In fact, you can utilize an incredible 123 cubic feet of cargo space if you fold the rear seats down. Couple that with the Tahoe's low and flat load floor, and taking all the gear you need for your next adventure is a cinch. Additionally, the Tahoe is set up with an independent rear suspension, so supporting all that cargo is no problem. In terms of tech, you can enjoy the 10.2-inch touch-screen interface standard from the base-level model.
Safety Features
Several safety features have been implemented in the new Tahoe to ensure that drivers and passengers can ride with peace of mind. For example, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking are included on all models. If you want a bit more, though, you can opt for adaptive cruise control and even a semi-autonomous hands-free driving mode.
