There’s even a kid’s track for new riders. There are restrooms, refreshment kiosks, and picnic areas, so if you’re bringing family or friends along, there are plenty of places to stop and spectate.

Tulare residents are lucky enough to benefit from a top-notch public golf course right on their doorstep. Tulare Golf Course is an 18-hole course offering a suitable challenge for golfers of all abilities. The rates are reasonable, the views are great, and the staff are friendly. 4. Check out Wildlife at Herbert Wetland Prairie Preserve
When we’re zipping down the highway or sitting at home watching TV, we’re unlikely to get much chance to spot wildlife. But the area around Tulare is teeming with interesting species. If you want to get up close and personal with nature and learn a little more about local ecosystems, then why not visit Herbert Wetland Prairie Preserve?
One of the largest remaining wetland prairie habitats in the San Joaquin Valley, it’s a 725-acre area packed full of wildlife. There are toads, owls, turtles, migratory birds, and plenty of rare plants too. Enjoy walking the trails and see how many different species you can spot!
