If you’re looking for a small pickup truck with impressive capabilities and lots of fun features, consider the 2021 GMC Canyon. This sleek and stylish pickup delivers power and performance without any unnecessary bulk to weigh you down. Is the GMC Canyon the small pickup for you? Let’s find out.

Trim Levels

With three trim levels to choose from, it’s easy to find a 2021 Canyon that suits your style and your budget. The Elevation’s refined yet athletic design is enhanced by an aggressive black-finished grille featuring a sleek body-colored surround. It goes great with all-new 18-inch black-painted wheels that serve as the perfect backdrop for signature GMC wheel caps. The AT4’s off-road capabilities are signified by its fog lamps and 31-inch Wrangler Duratrac tires. You get even more off-road-ready features when you add the AT4 Off-Road Performance Package featuring a rocker panel shield, skid plates, and a gloss-black performance exhaust tip.

Iconic C-shaped headlights, dazzling chrome accents, and 20-inch diamond-cut wheels make the Denali stand out wherever it goes. No matter which trim level you choose, your Canyon will look spectacular in colors like Satin Steel, Desert Sand, and Cayenne Red.

Exquisite Interior

Inside the 2021 Canyon, you’ll find seating for five with plenty of headroom and legroom for everyone. If you opt for the Elevation, you can choose between premium cloth seating surfaces and leather seating surfaces, both in Jet Black. You can also add comfort features like heated seats and a heated steering wheel. The AT4’s trim-exclusive leather upholstery pairs beautifully with Kalahari accents and features AT4 embroidery.

Heated and ventilated seating is standard in the Denali, which also offers quilted leather upholstery and wood accents. All models let you enjoy the GMC Infotainment System so that you can listen to all of your favorite playlists, audiobooks, and podcasts.

Thrilling Performance

You can always count on the GMC Canyon to deliver reliable performance that also excites you. A 200-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, capable of producing 191 pound-feet of torque, comes standard and gives the Canyon a 3,500-pound towing capacity. You can swap out the four-cylinder for a 3.6-liter V-6 with an output of 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, enough power for the Canyon to tow 7,000 pounds.

In addition to these two robust gas-powered engines, a diesel option is also available. The 181-horsepower, 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel puts out 369 pound-feet of torque and enables the Canyon to tow up to 7,700 pounds. GMC pairs the turbo-diesel and four-cylinder engines with a six-speed automatic transmission, while Canyons equipped with the V-6 get an eight-speed automatic. Both state-of-the-art systems make each engine more responsive while delivering precise acceleration and sharp handling.

Intelligent Safety Features

GMC knows that your most precious cargo will be along for the ride, which is why the Canyon comes loaded with intelligent safety features. The forward-collision alert warns you when you’re following the vehicle in front of you too closely and applies the brakes as needed. Trailer control gives you extra support and stability when your towing. Other features include teen driver technology, tire-pressure monitoring, and a lane departure alert.  These are just a few of the 2021 GMC Canyon’s impressive features.
