Redesigned for 2021, the Buick Envision is the perfect marriage of style and substance. The new Envision boasts a more modern exterior, lots of interior amenities, and state-of-the-art safety features. Read on to learn more about the 2021 Buick Envision.

Power and Performance

The new Envision is available in three trim packages, including the Preferred, Essence, and Avenir. All trims come with a powerful 228 horsepower, 2.0-liter I-4 engine that produces 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and driver shift control. All trims are front-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive.

The Envision’s front-wheel-drive models have an EPA-rated fuel efficiency of 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive trims, on the other hand, have a fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. All models feature power steering, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, a MacPherson strut front suspension, and 5-link rear suspension.

Interior Amenities

The 2021 Buick Envision can seat five adults comfortably in its upscale interior. All models include power windows and locks, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless open and start, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The cabin is quiet thanks to Buick’s QuietTuning suite of technologies that actively block, reduce, and absorb noise from the road and engine. A heated steering wheel and front seats are standard on the Essence and Avenir models and available on the Preferred. The top-of-the-line Avenir also provides ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a massaging driver’s seat.

The Envision provides 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the 60/40 split-folding rear bench folded down. A 12-volt power outlet in the cargo area can power a wide variety of accessories, including air pumps, compressors, and small vacuums. An available collapsible cargo area organizer provides secure storage as you drive. A hands-free power liftgate comes standard on the Essence and Avenir trims and is available on the Preferred.

The Envision is no slouch when it comes to infotainment. All models boast a 12-volt power outlet on the dash, color touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth audio streaming, USB ports, and satellite radio. The top-of-the-line Avenir also features a wireless charging pad, an HD radio, turn-by-turn navigation, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a Bose premium 9-speaker audio system.

Safety Features

All models include a suite of advanced air bags, a LATCH car seat system, Buick’s Buckle to Drive System, a rearview camera, daytime running lights, OnStar connectivity, Buick Connected Services, stability control, traction control, and the Teen Driver System.

Standard safety alerts include lane departure, lane change, side blind zone, rear cross-traffic, and forward collision. Standard driver-assist features include lane keep assist, blind-zone monitoring, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, front pedestrian braking, rear parking assist, and automatic emergency braking. The Avenir also includes an HD surround-vision camera that provides a birds-eye view of the area surrounding your vehicle.
