Chevrolet has been at the forefront of designing vehicles that the public is sure to love. From fuel-efficient cars to sports cars and heavy-duty trucks to family SUVs, there’s no shortage of options for drivers. However, even with the newly released Blazer, no true coupe crossover is available. Sightings have been reported of something available that’s similar to this body style, and drivers everywhere can’t wait to see it. Here’s what we know about Chevy’s possible crossover coupe.
All-New Size and Design
The all-new Chevrolet coupe crossover design has been spotted in Michigan, and though under a deep disguise, we can see that it may be similar to the Equinox in size but much sportier. Even though we’ve only seen spy shots, you can see that it also seems to look like a scaled-down Blazer. The low roof, slit-like daytime running lights, and sleek side glass are most noticeable. In some shots, you can see a large middle grille combined with a smaller upper grille, providing a bold, demanding presence. You can also see five lugs on five-spoke wheels.
GM Authority has mentioned seeing developments about the new crossover being between the size of the Trailblazer, which is sold here in the U.S. and in Canada and South Korea, and the Tracker, sold in China, South America, and Mexico. Production of the Tracker should be complete by the end of the year, and the production of the new addition should begin around then.
What Do We Know About Performance?
While we don’t know anything specific about performance and what kind of power we can expect from this new release, you can view part of the exhaust in some of the photos that have been released. This means that an internal-combustion engine should be powering the newest addition to the Chevy lineup. Still, we won’t know much about horsepower, torque, or fuel economy until closer to the release date. We do expect a turbocharged small-displacement engine with standard front-wheel drive, but all-wheel-drive may be available to help this crossover perform better in different road conditions.
When Will It Be Released?
At this time, there’s no definite date for the release of this exciting new Chevy, but we do expect it to be available for drivers for the 2024 model year. We hope to see more over the next year and possibly even have a release at the end of 2023. The final Spark is expected to roll off the production line for the last time later this year, and that’s when we expect this new crossover to start being produced. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about this new development. This mystery crossover from Chevy has had us craving more information since we saw it. While we can’t wait to get a look at it finally, we know that you’re excited as well. Along with this new model, Chevy is expected to release several new additions to the lineup, so stay tuned!
