whole pizza sliced on a plate

Just about every pizzeria claims to have the very best pizza around, but we know that not all pies are created equal. So where can you get the tastiest slice of pizza in our area? There are plenty of options around our town, so there were some tough decisions to make, but in the end, we narrowed it down to the five best spots for pizza in Tulare, CA.

Fugazzis

Fugazzis set out with a simple vision: to provide hospitable service that is dedicated to showing you their passion through their food. The result is some of the best flavors you’ll find in our area. They’ve got plenty of specialty pizzas for you to pick from, but one of the most unique has to be the Thai Chicken Pizza. With chicken, onions, cabbage, carrots, and peanuts all drizzled in a Thai ginger sauce, you’ve never had pizza like this before.

Old Firehouse Pizzeria

If you’re hungry and in a hurry, you’ll love how fast the service is at Old Firehouse Pizzeria. Some locals say the homemade pizza they have here is the best around, and we can’t disagree after trying it ourselves. We kept it classic with a plain pie, but they impressed us with their take on this dish, with a flavorful sauce and crust and a healthy helping of cheese.

V.I.P Pizza

Ever since opening up in 1985, this spot has been giving guests the V.I.P. treatment with the delicious pies they serve up. You’ll get to build your pizza your way, first choosing from original thin-crust, pan pizza thick crust, or the U-Bake Pizza that lets you take your pie home to bake later. Then select your toppings from their extensive list of veggies, meats, and seafood for a creation that’s all your own.

Rosa’s Trattoria and Bar

You may know this spot for their bar and great Italian cuisine, but they also serve up some of the tastiest pizza in town. They let you build your own pizza or calzone from their list of ingredients, from classics like pepperoni or onion to more out-there toppings like pineapple or artichoke hearts. You can wash it all down with a glass of their fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza

They say ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,’ which is why Mountain Mike’s has been doing their pizza the same way since opening for business back in 1978. The fresh meats, vegetables, and mozzarella made from real whole milk make all the difference in the flavors you get. Try out their Pikes Peak pie, piled high with sausage, salami, pepperoni, beef, linguica, and ham for a meat lover’s dream.

You can stop in at any spot on our list to get some of the best pies you’ll find anywhere. For the best deals on a new or pre-owned vehicle, we’ve got you covered. Visit us Stone Chevy Buick GMC today!
